TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS, WEST LULWORTH FOR A REMEMBRANCE SERVICE
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prohibit the use of the following roads by cyclists, horse riders and all mechanically propelled vehicles, except mobility scooters and powered wheelchairs in class 2 and 3, those taking part in the event and emergency vehicles, to facilitate a public event on the highway.
On Sunday 8th November 2026 following restrictions will be introduced;
[1] To impose temporary road closures between 10:15 and 12:00 on;
[i] West Road, from its junction with Church Road to its junction with the B3070 Main Road.
[ii] B3070 Main Road, from its junction with Church Road to its junction with School Lane.
There will be no signed alternative route for diverted traffic on this occasion.
Wessex Water - Essential sewer improvements, Main Road, Lulworth
Work is due to start on Monday 9th November, please see below letters confirming details of work. Wessex Water will be holding a customer information session 10am and 4pm on Wednesday 4 November 2026.
Construction Manager Adrian MacDonald and Bruce McAuslane will be located with Wessex Water’s liveried vehicle in the main car park close to the coach parking area and look forward to the opportunity of discussing the project in greater detail with you and answering any questions you may have.
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES, B3070 EAST LULWORTH AND B3070, WEST LULWORTH
It will come into operation between 08:00 and 18:00 on 13th November 2026, and remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 16th November 2026.
Please note that only one closure will be in operation at any one time.
