The Lulworth Village
Hall is situated in the village of West Lulworth, which lies on the
Dorset Jurassic Coast. It is within a 20 mile radius of Weymouth and
Portland, the county town of Dorchester, Thomas Hardy’s ‘Egdon Heath’,
Wareham, Swanage, Poole Harbour, and the whole of Purbeck.
The Village Hall itself is an excellent venue for all kinds of events
- parties, meetings, stage productions, dances, craft fairs, coffee
mornings, fund raising events, community groups and conferences. There
are facilities for short mat bowls, badminton, skittles and table tennis
and new members are always welcome. Artsreach, which sponsors performances
by top class entertainers, is a regular user of our hall. If you are
looking for a wedding venue, why not get married in the local church
only 100 yards up the road, and have your reception here? The main hall
can seat up to 160 people, a smaller function room is available for
about 20, and there is a well equipped kitchen. See booking
page for further details and current prices. If you have any special
requests we’ll do our best to help.
Hanging in the hall is the West Lulworth Tapestry, which was made to
celebrate the Millennium by the local Women’s Institute. It depicts
a number of features of the West Lulworth area.
